Philanthropic trust, Inner North Community Foundation will provide $300,000 through the Pathways to Employment grant program which aims to create greater access to employment for individuals in Victoria’s inner north region.
Community groups offering programs with a focus on per-vocational, life skills development or job training within the areas of mental health, youth programs, homelessness, refugees and asylum seekers, are encouraged to apply.
“We are very pleased to offer this significant financial injection to our local community, says Inner North Community Foundation Chairman Kevin Breen.
“It provides valuable and much needed funds to help people who often just need some basic skills and support to get a job and then keep it.
“In addition to providing better access to employment, many of the organisations that receive our grants also address multiple community issues.”
Grants close on 29 May. Successful recipients will be notified in late July.
