RSL Queensland has unveiled the rebranding of its long-standing program, signaling a renewed focus on veteran support. The organisation’s Art Union, a fixture since 1956, has been renamed the “Dream Home Art Union, proudly RSL Queensland,” reflecting both its prize offerings and its core mission.

CEO Robert Skoda emphasised the dual impact of this: “Every ticket sold offers more than a chance to win a dream home; it directly funds programs that provide DVA advocacy support, employment assistance, and wellbeing services to the veteran community.”

The rebranding coincides with the launch of Australia’s largest ever prize home – a $13 million apartment complex in Palm Beach on the Gold Coast. This move underscores RSL Queensland’s commitment to offering life-changing prizes while expanding its support for veterans.

The impact of the lottery on veteran services is substantial. In 2023, RSL Queensland supported over 8,400 veterans and their families, a 20% increase from the previous year. The organisation delivered $25 million in social and community services and allocated an additional $17.7 million for donations and sponsorships providing direct relief to veterans and their families.

Skoda highlighted the growth of the program: “We offer more than just a prize home; it is a life-changing prize that can be ‘their Dream Home,’ allowing us to support and improve the lives of veterans and their families across Queensland and nationally.”

The rebranding reflects years of careful consideration and aligns with the evolving needs of the veteran community. While the name has changed, the mission remains steadfast. “Our core focus is on providing care, commemoration, and camaraderie to veterans and their families now and into the future – it’s the hallmark of our mission and underpins all that we do,” Skoda added.

As the Dream Home Art Union moves forward, it continues to build on its impressive track record. In 2024 alone, over $50 million in prizes were awarded. However, the true measure of success lies in the support provided to veterans and their families over nearly seven decades.

Skoda concluded with a message of gratitude and purpose: “As we move forward under the banner of Dream Home Art Union, proudly RSL Queensland, we do so with deep gratitude for our customers. Their participation enables us to make a lasting difference in the lives of those who have served our country.”
