Benefolk has joined forces with Beyond Bank Australia, to help strengthen the financial wellbeing of social purpose organisations.

The new partnership kicks off with Beyond Bank supporting the September 2024 launch of Benefolk Expert Bar – a new innovation enabling social purpose organisations to access a range of experts in 45-90 minute online consultations via Benefolk’s platform.

Benefolk CEO / Founder, Julia Keady, says the partnership is built on strong and shared values.

“As a customer since 2020, I have experienced first-hand the way Beyond Bank operates.”

“Its level of customer service and commitment to wellbeing is outstanding and inspirational,” added Keady.

Beyond Bank has a long and rich credit union heritage, which sits at the heart of modern customer-owned banks.

“This shines through in their approach to being the ‘best bank’, not the biggest bank,” added Keady.

“Beyond Bank has also been a great supporter and champion of the Benefolk mission ever since we met, supporting the launch of The Community Well resource hub in 2023 and sharing these important and much-needed resources to community organisations around Australia.”

According to Keady, this new partnership now enables them to focus even more on the inspirational and hard-working not-for-profits (NFPs), charities and purpose-driven businesses that we both care about.

“We’re delighted that Beyond Bank is supporting the launch of Benefolk Expert Bar,” enthused Keady.

“This new service fills a long-standing need for everyday, grassroots NFPs and charities to be able to access trusted expertise in an affordable way.”

“Think of it as “telehealth for the social sector” – enabling these essential organisations to access the advice and help they need simply and easily.”

Kylie Daniels, National Community Development Manager at Beyond Bank, shares excitement about the partnership, citing the benefits offered to the community sector and its employees.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with the team at Benefolk to deliver on such an important initiative that connects so closely to our purpose of changing the lives of our customers and communities through financial well-being.”
