National firm McCabe Curwood revealed during an all-staff address by Managing Principal Andrew Lacey, effective Monday 6 September 2021, the firm would be rebranding to McCabes and officially announcing a dedicated Government Division to sit alongside the Insurance and Commercial Divisions of the firm.
“Our strategy in our first three years [since the merger between McCabes and Curwoods] has been to bring together and develop our expertise across both the commercial and insurance markets, whilst growing our specialised Government offering, and it is with pride we can say we have been successful in doing so.
“At the same time as announcing our Government Division which recognises the fantastic growth in those practices, I would also like to announce our rebrand to ‘McCabes’,” says Andrew Lacey.
“McCabes is an ambitious and growing law firm; we hold our values at the core of what we do: integrity, excellence and courage.
“The last three years have seen us grow a national footprint, develop a new division, but we have not lost that McCabes difference – we have great clients and a firm of lawyers who love what they do.
“The next stage for our firm is to continue to bolster our commercial offer. We have the size, strength and expertise to service our client\’s commercial needs, and we know from the feedback that the experience and expert advice we provide as a firm is of excellent quality.”
McCabes was recently included on the AFR most innovative companies list, has expanded to include offices in Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth and services major insurance clients, government and commercial enterprises.
In 2020 McCabes made headlines with their employment law coverage on returning to the office post COVID.
Andrew Lacey is the Managing Principal of McCabes and the head of commercial litigation.
