Funding for community groups

The money, totalling $30,000, could be distributed between a variety of groups including sporting, social, disability, children, seniors and more.

General Manager David Cadden said “Our community is very important to us and allocating some of our budget to help local community groups is what being in Macarthur is all about. We don’t just give the money and that’s it. We like to build a partnership with these groups and help them move forward too”.

Previously, Macarthur Credit Union allocated funds to community groups as required, but from 2011 the project will become a structured part of the credit union’s support of its local communities.

Money will be allocated in $5,000 and $10,000 lots and will be payable later this year.

Applications close on September 30 this year.
