Disability services provider Interchange WA has appointed a new chief as it gets ready for the state-wide rollout of the WA NDIS in July.

Community services executive Justin O’Meara Smith will lead the organisation as Chief Executive Officer from February 13.

Interchange has provided customised one-to-one support to people with disability for more than 25 years.

O’Meara Smith brings more than 20 years’ not-for-profit experience to the role and leaves his current position overseeing disability services at Rise Network, which also provides aged care, mental health, youth and housing services.

He has also held senior roles at Mosaic Community Care, Therapy Focus and Association for the Blind (Guide Dogs WA).

Interchange Board Chair (and CEO of Holyoake) Angie Paskevicius welcomed the new addition to the Executive team.

“Justin brings a wealth of knowledge and community services experience to the role and is well-positioned to lead Interchange as it continues to adapt to ongoing changes in the external environment,” she said.
