Kidney Health Australia has found new leadership in Mikaela Stafrace.

Chairman of the Board, David Morgan, announced the appointment of Stafrace as the national healthcare charity’s new Chief Executive Officer.

Stafrace has worked as a businesswoman and lawyer and most recently was the CEO of Melbourne Legacy.

She has also served on a number of boards including Melbourne Olympic Parks Trust, Inner South Community Health Service and the Victorian Veterans Council.

“I’m thrilled to be joining the Kidney Health Australia family and moving into the health care charity space – a sector I have long-admired – and taking on another CEO role with a community and consumer focus,” said Stafrace.

“Kidney Health Australia has a rich history in the areas of education, advocacy, research, and support.

“It will be a challenge, but also an incredible opportunity to lead a peak body and make a real and lasting impact on the state of kidney health in Australia.”

Morgan said, “We’re delighted that Mikaela is coming on board as Kidney Health Australia’s CEO.”

Morgan also thanked Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary, Rosanna Care, for her sterling efforts as Interim CEO.
