Social Leadership Australia appoints new Director Julie Ahern

Social Leadership Australia has appointed a new Acting Director, Julie Ahern.

Ahern was previously manager of Social Leadership Australia.

Ahern replaces Geoff Aigner who spent more than nine years in the role.

Social Leadership Australia is a social enterprise, working with Australia’s first charity, The Benevolent Society, to develop the leadership capacity of senior leaders across all sectors to improve Australian social outcomes.

“There’s been significant transformation in the not for profit operating environment. I’m looking forward to leading Social Leadership Australia through this period of change,” said Ahern.

Ahern has been involved in developing SLA’s the Institute’s business relationships and programs, including the Sydney Leadership Program.

Ahern has previously held senior roles in telecommunications and government.

“Our graduates are renowned for their contribution in tackling tough issues. We will continue to deliver programs that make a real difference,” said Ahern.
