TFN launches online portal ‘Roots of Change’
People can now seek out organisations that are aligned with their missions.
The Funding Network (TFN), a national capacity building model for non-profit organisations, has today announced the launch of its online portal Roots of Change, which is designed to provide information on grassroots non-profits around Australia and share their stories of social change funded through TFN.
The Funding Network – a live crowdfunding platform for changemakers – has facilitated nearly $7 million funding for more than 160 non-profit organisations around Australia. By connecting social entrepreneurs with live audiences, the model has enabled thousands of every day Australians to meaningfully contribute to these community leaders through funding and in-kind support.
Roots of Change is a searchable portal of over 160 non-profit organisations in The Funding Network’s Alumni group working across many social issue areas, including homelessness, domestic violence, refugees, Indigenous rights and more. The hub provides comprehensive information on each organisation, including pitch videos, stories and impact reports.
Lisa Cotton, Co-Founder and CEO of The Funding Network says, grassroots non-profits play such a critical role in developing innovative solutions to solving complex social issues and seeding new ideas and approaches.
“The Roots of Change hub is a fantastic resource. It will connect people with a variety of organisations, share how they’re making a positive difference in the community and provide an opportunity support their work. It gives a clearer picture of the grassroots non-profit landscape in Australia, and we hope it will foster collaboration between sectors, organisations, and individuals,” Cotton said.
Roots of Change will enable foundations, corporates, journalists and every-day donors to seek out organisations that are aligned with their missions. Furthermore, it enables The Funding Network community and the broader public to be more efficient and effective in connecting with meaningful causes.
