Three new funding grants announced by BankSA Foundation today have pushed its total donations to South Australian community organisations this year to more than $250,000. Sids & Kids SA ($31,971), Grandparents for Grandchildren ($30,000) and the Cora Barclay Centre ($19,950) are the latest 2017 recipients of BankSA Foundation grants, which continue to help unsung charitable organisations across the state make a positive difference to the lives of South Australians.
Specifically, BankSA Foundation’s latest round of community grants have been allocated to:
BankSA Chief Executive Nick Reade said the Foundation, which is funded mainly through staff donations, is pleased to provide critical financial support to three new worthy not-for-profit organisations.
“Our latest grants culminate in BankSA Foundation providing more than $250,000 to unsung heroes in our community making a real difference to South Australians,” Reade said.
BankSA Foundation has developed a proud history of charitable and community support since 1941 when bankstaff first agreed to donate part of their wages to send comfort parcels to colleagues serving in the armed forces. The Foundation has now given away almost $9 million in community grants to local organisations.
