Decjuba, The Hunger Project’s latest collaboration

DECJUBA has partnered with The Hunger Project Australia, releasing a limited-edition pouch, designed to create jobs, nurture skills & empower women.

The pouch is latest in the on-going partnership which has seen DECJUBA raise over $90,000 for The Hunger Project. For this collaboration The Hunger Project engaged women in Bangladesh to hand craft bags for DECJUBA.

The purpose was to develop the women’s skills, provide jobs & income & ultimately allow the women to become self-reliant.

“We’ve loved creating these pouches with DECJUBA and the the women in Bangladesh. The collaboration has enabled a group of women in Bangladesh to be trained & employed in the production process. As a result, they have been able to feed their families, send their children to school & pay for their own studies. The funds raised through sales of the pouches will mean that even more women can be educated & empowered to transform their lives & lift themselves out of hunger and poverty,” Melanie Noden, CEO, The Hunger Project Australia.

DECJUBA will donate 100 per cent of the proceeds from the sale of the pouches to The Hunger Project, to continue their work in Bangladesh, India & Africa.

“This project means so much to me because we have directly impacted the lives of the women involved in the program, in addition to helping to continue the incredible work of The Hunger Project,” Tania Austin, Owner & CEO, DECJUBA.

This initiative will create “long-lasting change” for the women & families of those involved, whilst working towards achieving The Hunger Project’s goal to end hunger globally by 2030. The Hunger Project x DECJUBA Pouches will be available to purchase online & in store from Tuesday 3rd October.
