H&R Block has announced an Australia-wide support program with national partner, The Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF), that will see needed funds donated to scientists and technologies dedicated to detecting, treating and preventing all types of cancer.
From 1 July 2017, H&R Block will donate $20 back to ACRF for every new client the charity refers to the tax preparer, regardless of the service level or value.
H&R Block Managing Director, Brodie Dixon, is optimistic about the initiative and its potential to help fill a significant funding gap in the not for profit sector.
“Helping Australians is at the core of our service offering, so we’re proud to broaden our partnership with ACRF and do whatever we can to help them reach their goal of giving cancer sufferers a better chance of survival, and ultimately, ending terminal cancer,” he said.
The program will extend throughout the 2017/18 tax season until 15th May 2018 and will be available to new clients referred by the charity.
“We rely on the generosity of our supporters, so are incredibly grateful to our friends at H&R Block for their help in making cancer research progress possible,” said ACRF CEO, Prof. Ian Brown.
This new program is just one of the ways H&R Block plans to support ACRF in 2017/18. Throughout the year, the national partnership will see the tax preparer get behind the foundation’s key appeals, promote a co-branded tax calculator, and sponsor the charity at this year’s City2Surf event in August.
